Privacy policy

Overview

Talkasu ("we", "us") helps you practice communication skills through AI-guided training sessions on Android and at talkasu.com. This policy describes what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information — email address, display name (if provided), and authentication identifiers when you sign in with Google (web) or email/password or Google (Android). Android may also use anonymous guest sessions with a temporary account identifier.
• Training data — lesson progress, practice session history, and messages you send during training sessions.
• Microphone audio (optional) — used only on your device or in your browser to turn speech into text in the chat composer. Talkasu does not upload recordings to its servers. The operating system or browser speech service (for example, Google on Android and Chrome) may process the audio to produce that transcript.
• Usage data (Android) — app interactions collected through Firebase Analytics / GA4 in production builds to improve the product.
• Usage data (website) — interactions collected through Firebase Analytics / GA4 only after you consent. Used to improve the product.

How we use information and legal bases

• Provide and personalize training sessions, accounts, and credits — to perform the service you request.
• Measure product usage with Firebase Analytics / GA4 on Android in production builds.
• Measure product usage with Firebase Analytics / GA4 on the website — only with your consent. You can withdraw it anytime via Cookie settings.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses strictly necessary storage to sign you in and remember your cookie choice, and optional analytics storage if you accept. Details and the cookie table are in our cookie policy.

Third-party services

Talkasu uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics) and Google Gemini for practice responses and feedback. Data is sent to these providers only as needed to operate the product. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your account and associated training data as described on our account deletion page.

Your choices

• You can delete your account in the app Profile screen, on the web Profile page, or via Delete account & data.
• On the website you can accept, reject, or later withdraw analytics via Cookie settings.

Do not sell or share

Talkasu does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out of optional analytics on the web, reject non-essential cookies or use Cookie settings. We honor a Global Privacy Control signal by keeping analytics off.

Children

Talkasu is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
